Unloading and positioning of a 37-ton press

Equipment:

  • JMG 580 pick&carry electric crane.
  • Jung actuators.

  • The order consisted of unloading a press with a total weight of 37 tons.
  • Unpacking the machine and components.
  • Transporting it to the hall using a crane and Jung rollers.
  • Erecting the press to a vertical position using a crane.
  • Placing it in its final location.

Three employees participated in the project – completion time: 6 hours.

Unloading and setting up the Minster EV-350 press

  • Jung transport rollers.
  • Project description:

The order consisted of unloading press components weighing:

  • Machine bed_ 31,500 kg.
  • Crown_ 44,000 kg.
  • Slider _ 24,000 kg.
  • Guides_2 x 7,000 kg.
  • Unpacking the machine and components.
  • Assembly process.
  • Positioning the bed (weight 31,500 kg) using a JMG 580 crane.
  • Installation of 2 guides (weight 2 x 7,000 kg).
  • Assembly of tie rods into guides.
  • Assembly of the slide (weight 24,000 kg).
  • Securing the lower part of the tie rods.
  • Assembly of the crown into position (crown weight: 44,000 kg) using two JMG580 and JMG350 cranes.
  • Securing the upper part of the tie rods.
  • Anchoring the machine, connecting utilities, and commissioning with the manufacturer.

Project completion time:

  • Five employees participated in the project – completion time: 4 days.
